QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: What lead you to become a writer?
A: In my high school and college days, I had very little interest in writing. However, after entering the business world and having to write extensive consulting reports for major companies, I became enamored with the magic of writing. The experience of being able to take invisable thoughts and weave them into tangible text became more and more exciting. Now writing has become my passion.
Q: Is the book that is shown on the "Home Page" of this website the only one to date that you have published?
A: The book described on the "Home Page" is the first book that I have taken the time to publish. However, it is not the first book that I have written. For the last several years, I have had so much fun writing manuscripts for a growing number of books that I have not wanted to set aside the extensive time it would take to publish them. As an aside, this book was selected as the first to be published simply because of requests from close friends.
Q: What source do you use for book ideas?
A: Throughout my business career, I was a dilligent observer of the behaviors and attitudes of successful people. The productive things that people have done to achieve success, have always interested me. As such, for years I have given much thought and done considerable research on the managment and behavioral changes that people can make to improve their lives. The inspiration gained from all of this has become my source for book ideas.
Q: What subject matter do you prefer to write about?
A: Basically, I enjoy writing about the things that interest me. Currently I am most interested in how-to and self-development subject matter.
Q: What are your qualifications for writing about your subject matter?
A: As intimated earlier, the material in my books is based on years of behavioral observations, literature review and an extensive exploration of life altering strategies. This experience combined with related inspiration is the foundation of my qualtifications for writing about the subject matter that I select for my books.
Q: Do you ever use other peoples' ideas for your books?
A: No. I use only my own ideas. I seem to have an endless supply of them. My problem in writing books is not a lack of ideas, but the day-to-day constraints that limit my writing time. Thus, the use of other peoples' book ideas is impractical.
Q: Do you see yourself as an author of "big" or "small" books?
A: When I write books, I basically go where the subject matter takes me, irrespective of their ultimate size. However, having said this I do prefer to write books that can be read and assimilated in a relatively short period of time. I believe that "great things" can come from small books. Small books tend to heighten the focus of both the author and the reader, and in today's society people seem to be more receptive to books that enable them to get the most from their content in the shortest period of time.
Q: Do you make yourself available to speak to audiences?
A: Yes. I enjoy speaking to audiences about the subject matter of my books.
Q: Are you currently working on other book projects?
A: As noted earlier, over the years writing has become my passion. However, I believe that it is about time to commit myself to not only continuing to write new books, but also to consider publishing some of the completed manuscripts that I have been setting aside. Look for the publishing of some of these manuscripts and new books in the future.
